18th Century Italian/Neapolitan School - Still Life with Flowers

Descriptio Oil on canvas. Dimensions: 92 x 85 cm (framed), 74 x 66 cm (canvas only). Elegant still life attributed to an 18th-century Neapolitan painter, depicting a vase filled with vivid, detailed flowers, including peonies, anemones, and sunflowers. Beside it, a basket of fruit, a symbol of abundance and decay, can be seen. The mountainous background adds depth, and the interplay of light and shadow lends three-dimensionality to the scene. The work is framed in a valuable hand-carved molding, further enhancing its refinement and artistic value. The quality of the painting, coupled with its Neapolitan provenance, suggests the influence of the local painting school, renowned for its attention to detail and masterful use of color and light.
