1900-S Liberty Head Eagle. MS-63 (PCGS). Lovely orange-gold surfaces support a sharp strike and bountiful mint luster. Wisps of pale pink and powder blue iridescence also flash into view as the coin rotates under lighting, further enhancing the visual appeal. After producing 841,000 coin in 1899, the San Francisco Mint delivered just 81,000 eagles in 1900. This is a low mintage issue whose scarcity in Mint State has so far withstood the test of time. Few examples have come out of hiding in foreign bank hoards; this solidly graded Select example approaches Condition Census. Provenance: From the Bryan C. Tipton Collection. PCGS Population: 22; 9 finer (MS-67 finest). PCGS# 8746. NGC ID: 267N. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
