1904 Morgan Silver Dollar. JD-1. Rarity-3+. Proof-64 (PCGS). CAC. Originally toned surfaces are bathed in a rich blend of steely-olive, silver gray, cobalt blue and pinkish-rose. Direct lighting calls forth iridescent undertones, generally more vivid shades of the dominant colors. The strike is bold to sharp throughout, the surfaces expectably smooth for the assigned grade. The final pre-1921 Proof issue in the Morgan dollar series, the 1904 boasts a relatively limited mintage for the type of 650 coins. This handsome near-Gem offers stronger eye appeal than the typical survivor, and is worthy of strong bids. Provenance: From the Warwick Collection, assembled from the 1930s through the 1960s. PCGS# 7339. NGC ID: 2824. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
