1919 Pan American Aeronautic Signed Program

Scarce program for the Second Pan American Aeronautic Convention and Exhibition, held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, May 1 through June 1, 1919, just months after the end of World War I. The program advertises early aviation competitions including seaplane, land aeroplane, dirigible, parachute, and other contests. Signed by four notable figures in early aviation: Rear Admiral A. Santos-Dumont, Glenn H. Curtiss, Henry Woodhouse, and Rear Admiral Robert E. Peary. Curtiss was one of America's foremost aviation pioneers and aircraft manufacturers, while Santos-Dumont was an important early aviation advocate and Peary was famed for his Arctic exploration. An unusual association piece from a formative period in American aviation history. Estimate $500 - $1,000
