1930 Knute Rockne Bookends

Offered here is a unique pair of cast iron bookends commemorating on of football's all time great leaders Knute Rockne. Knute Rockne was one of the most influential figures in the early history of American football. As head coach of the University of Notre Dame from 1918 to 1930, he compiled a 105–12–5 record and led the Fighting Irish to three national championships. Rockne helped popularize the forward pass and transformed Notre Dame into a national football powerhouse. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1951. The cast bookends offered here are date 1924-1929 with a date of 1930 at the central lower edge to mark the end of his career at Notre Dame.
