1936-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar. MS-67 (NGC).

1936-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar. MS-67 (NGC). Exceptional quality and eye appeal for this middle date Walking Liberty half dollar issue. This is a highly lustrous example whose otherwise brilliant, softly frosted surfaces reveal soft reddish-gold highlights here and there around the peripheries. Strike detail is bold to sharp and above average in a circulation strike example of this design type. Smooth in hand and virtually pristine. A true condition rarity, the otherwise readily obtainable 1936-S is seldom offered at the Superb Gem grade level, as here. Provenance: From the Mack C. Chase Collection. NGC Census: 38; 2 finer (both MS-67+). The corresponding PCGS Population is similar at 34/1 (MS-67+ finest). PCGS# 6600. NGC ID: 24RP. Click here for certification details from NGC.
