1967 Maison Destavel

Maison Destavel Prestige Collection AOP Rivesaltes Tuilé 1990 • AOP Rivesaltes Ambré 1967 • AOP Banyuls Grand Cru 1988 3 x 50 cl – Presented in Original “Old Vintage” Collector Gift Cases An exceptionally rare collector’s lot bringing together three emblematic Vin Doux Naturels from Maison Destavel, spanning more than four decades of outstanding vintages and showcasing the extraordinary ageing potential of the great wines of Roussillon. Presented in their elegant Old Vintage presentation cases, these three mature sweet wines offer a remarkable journey through time, from the legendary Rivesaltes Ambré 1967 to the prestigious Banyuls Grand Cru 1988 and the refined Rivesaltes Tuilé 1990. Such collections have become increasingly difficult to source today. As mature reserves continue to disappear from the market, very few original lots remain available, making this a particularly attractive opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts seeking authentic aged Vin Doux Naturels. A Unique Exploration of Three Great Vintages Rivesaltes Ambré 1967 The crown jewel of the collection. Approaching sixty years of age, this remarkable Rivesaltes Ambré represents a true piece of French wine heritage. Decades of maturation have produced an extraordinary amber-copper colour and exceptional aromatic complexity, revealing dried apricots, candied citrus peel, walnut, honey, precious spices and noble rancio notes. Elegant, profound and remarkably persistent, this is a wine that few enthusiasts have the privilege of tasting today. Banyuls Grand Cru 1988 A prestigious expression of one of France's finest fortified wine appellations. Produced under the strict requirements of the Banyuls Grand Cru designation, this wine displays a deep mahogany robe with superb maturity. Rich aromas of dried fruits, candied orange, cocoa, roasted coffee and sweet spices unfold beautifully. The palate is silky, concentrated and exceptionally long. A distinguished wine from a celebrated vintage. Rivesaltes Tuilé 1990 A magnificent mature Vin Doux Naturel combining richness and freshness. Its evolved bouquet reveals notes of dried figs, cocoa, caramel, candied fruits and roasted nuts. Harmonious and refined, it perfectly illustrates the elegance achieved through decades of ageing. The Maison Destavel Heritage Maison Destavel has long been recognized for selecting and preserving exceptional mature vintages from the historic vineyards of Roussillon. These wines were patiently nurtured to reveal the remarkable complexity that only decades of ageing can provide. This collection perfectly embodies that philosophy, bringing together three iconic wines that showcase the diversity and prestige of the region's greatest appellations.
