1970 Jaguar E-Type 4.2L Series 2 roadster No reserve

1970 Jaguar E-Type 4.2L Series 2 roadster No reserve - Exceptionally well-preserved car - A meticulous single owner since 1991 - Full service history - Serviced by specialists, numerous invoices - No reserve Previously owned by specialist Éric Pérou, this car was purchased in March 1991 at an auction in Esvres by its current owner, an enthusiast based in Touraine who has taken great care over the condition of his cars. Sold new in the United States and subsequently re-imported to Europe, this Jaguar E-Type benefited from an extensive restoration (probably carried out in the 1980s) which has stood the test of time remarkably well and now displays a beautiful patina, thanks to meticulous servicing documented by numerous invoices totalling over €30,000 over the past 30 years, carried out at Garage Tessier in Tours and Éric Pérou’s garage – both renowned establishments. The file even includes a logbook in which the owner recorded his journeys, mechanical work and refuelling, highlighting 35 years of regular and reliable use! A fan has also been fitted to prevent overheating and ensure smooth driving. Painted in a light beige colour, the bodywork is beautifully preserved, as well as the interior which features tobacco-coloured upholstery which has softened with use, set against the classic and sporty dashboard of the E-Type. The 4.2-litre twin-cam six-cylinder engine is in well-maintained condition and the interior of the boot confirms the excellent condition of the bodywork. It is rare to find an E-Type in such condition, ready to hit the road for a leisurely drive or a historic rally event across the Alpine mountain roads, where this car’s performance will shine through the magnificent sound of its legendary engine.
