This lot of fine Burgundy wines features two bottles of Gevrey - Chambertin Premier Cru from the prestigious Côte de Nuits, produced by the G. A. E. C. Dupont - Tisserandot estate, a renowned owner - grower located in the heart of the village. This selection includes one bottle from the 1983 vintage and a second bottle from the 1985 vintage, offering a great opportunity for a comparative tasting of two wonderful years from the 1980s. Crafted exclusively from the pinot noir grape variety on clay - limestone soils famous for their power and refinement, these age-worthy wines express all the character and nobility of premium Burgundy appellations. Each standard format bottle features an individual height of 30 cm with a precise unit weight of 1300 g, representing a combined total weight for the entire lot of 2600 g on the scale. Regarding the condition, the bottles display clear signs of age that bear witness to authentic long-term storage in a aging cellar. The 1985 bottle shows dark glass covered in a thick layer of greasy cellar dust, while the 1983 bottle shows its wine color more clearly. The main labels are generally sound despite some surface dirt and a small vertical tear on the letter E of Gevrey on the 1983 bottle.
