For sale is a prestigious bottle of Barolo Riserva Monfortino 1988 by Giacomo Conterno, one of the most representative labels of Piedmontese and Italian wine tradition. The bottle presents in impeccable condition, as can be clearly verified from the photographs. The wine level is excellent, the capsule is perfectly preserved, and the label is in excellent condition, considering the over thirty years of ageing. The bottle has been stored for decades with the utmost care, at a controlled temperature and in conditions suitable for the preservation of a great long-aging wine, sheltered from heat sources and from temperature fluctuations. The only peculiarity to report concerns the paper DOCG designation band, which is today completely absent. The band, originally applied to the bottle, has come away over the decades. This is the only external anomaly noted and present on the bottle; otherwise, the aesthetic and conservation conditions are excellent. The photographs faithfully show the current state of the bottle, including level, capsule, label and the absence of the band. A bottle of great interest for collectors and traditional Barolo enthusiasts, belonging to a historic vintage of Giacomo Conterno and to a designation of absolute prestige.
