Dominique Laurent is a reputed négociant house on the Côte de Nuits, known for its meticulous élevages in new oak barrels. As indicated on the back label, this wine has been aged and bottled entirely by hand, without fining, without filtration or reacidification. Clos de Vougeot is one of the most famous Burgundian Grand Crus. It is linked to the history of the Cistercian monks of Cîteaux. 1997 is a sunny vintage, which produced charming, round and generous wines. After more than 25 years of aging, this wine is mature.
