second and third quarters 19th century, Rome, by various makers (see note), .800 and .889 standard, including a dozen each table forks, l. 8-1/8" and 7-7/8", table spoons, l. 8-1/8", table knives, l. 10-3/8" with steel blades, and teaspoons, l. 5-3/8" and 5-1/2" (one teaspoon lacking), with a pair of two-piece carving sets with steel blades/tines, l. 9-1/4" and 11-1/4", in a plain spatulate pattern, the steel-fitted items with hollow handle of canted ovoid section and threaded heel, all monogrammed "LO", presented in a pair of olivewood knife boxes of canted ovoid section with brass hinges, handles, lock and escutcheon, keys present, the slanted lid opening to a terracotta velvet-lined, gold ribbon-trimmed, fitted interior. (51 pieces plus two boxes)
