Christmas Special Auction: Unique Vertical Collection 6x Reserva Particular de Recaredo (Vintages 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007) An exceptional, investment-grade collector’s lot featuring a fascinating vertical tasting of an absolute legend among long-aged European sparkling wines: Reserva Particular de Recaredo, crafted by the historic family estate Recaredo in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia under strict biodynamic farming principles (Demeter certified). Historical note for elite collectors: This iconic cuvée was originally conceived in 1962 by the founder Josep Mata Capellades and his sons as a private family reserve. This vertical lot begins with the 2001 vintage, which marks the legendary first harvest of the 21st century released by the estate. Furthermore, the 2006 vintage does not exist for this wine, as the winery strictly chose not to produce it because the harvest failed to meet the rigorous quality standards required for this cuvée. This radical philosophy of quality over quantity heavily increases the historical value of the surrounding vintages. This extraordinary selection spans 6 exclusive vintages from the golden era when the estate operated under the D.O. Cava appellation, making these bottles highly sought-after museum pieces. Every bottle represents ultimate craftsmanship: partial fermentation of Xarel·lo in oak casks, secondary bottle aging under natural cork stoppers secured by the traditional metal staple (grapa), and manual disgorgement (desgorjat) at cellar temperature without freezing the bottleneck. Specific bottle details & CRITICAL ACCLAIM (backed by the included estate documentation): • 2001: Blend of 60% Macabeo and 40% Xarel·lo. Aged for 108 months (9 years).
