2007 Ferrari F430

Unveiled at the 2004 Paris Motor Show as the successor to the 360 Modena, the F430 marked a significant technological step for Maranello’s mid-engine V-8 lineage. Its new 4.3-liter V-8, producing 483 hp, was enhanced by carbon ceramic brakes and a steering wheel-mounted control which electronically actuated the various differential settings. The first road-going Ferrari to bring such differential control to a road-going model, it allowed for more precise handling dynamics and increased confidence for the driver. Its Pininfarina design was also tastefully updated from its predecessor, with more sculpted bodywork that drew a portion of its inspiration from Ferrari’s 1961 156 Formula 1 car. This is most notably seen in its front intakes invoking the 156’s famed “shark nose,” and prominent side air intakes. Yet what may be the F430’s greatest significance lies in its transmission: it was the final mid-engine Ferrari to be offered with a six-speed gated manual transaxle. It is estimated that only 5–10% of the model’s total production were specified with this now exceptionally desirable option. Today, the combination of naturally aspirated V-8 power, a lightweight chassis, and a gated manual make the F430 an important modern Ferrari in the company’s mid-engine lineage. The remarkable F430 presented here, chassis 70155241, has enjoyed an unusually discreet life with extremely low mileage, having been held by two long-term owners. Delivered new through Ferrari of Central New Jersey, the car remained with its original owner in Florida, until 2015, when it was acquired by a Connecticut-based caretaker, who maintained ownership through 2026. Equipped with the rare and highly desirable gated six-speed transaxle, this classic Rosso Corsa (Racing Red) over Nero (Black) leather F430 is anything but ordinary. Closer inspection reveals that this example is equipped with the Carbon Fiber Driving Zone – further contributing to its rarity. This option incorporates a carbon fiber steering wheel, instrument-cluster surround, and center-console trim. Additional factory options include electrically operated Daytona-style seats, which are accented with red piping and special stitching, a leather rear shelf and headliner, and Scuderia shields on its fenders. For the discerning collector, the result is a remarkably cohesive combination of iconic colors, desirable options, and rare finishes. Recently acquired by the consignor, 70155241 received its annual service in July 2026 at Ferrari Philadelphia, which included an oil change, air-conditioning system recharge, and attention to its fluids. In keeping with its remarkable state of preservation, the Ferrari retains its original date-coded tires. The accompanying original owner’s manuals in their folio, window sticker, factory brochure, tool kit, VIP book, car covers, and service documentation provide further evidence of conscientious ownership. With only 841 miles displayed at the time of cataloguing, and stewardship by two long-term caretakers, this fortunate Ferrari has seen remarkably little time on the road and should be considered a reference-grade example of the model. This F430 offers a superb opportunity to acquire a well-sorted, extremely low-mileage example of one of Maranello’s most engaging V-8, mid-engine sports cars to date and is a prime candidate to join any collection of significant Ferraris. car
