2008 Jaguar XKR-S 4.2 No reserve - Only 200 examples produced for Europe - Only 58,000 km from new - 3rd owner – Meticulously serviced – Original invoices, logbook and manuals - 4.2-litre supercharged V8 – 420 hp – 280 km/h - The ultimate evolution of the X150 generation - No reserve Rare, powerful and superbly elegant, the Jaguar XKR-S holds a special place among the great British GT cars of its era. With only 200 examples produced in 2008 for the European market, it represents the culmination of the XKR 4.2 and is the most exclusive model in the remarkable X150-generation XK series. Launched at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, the XKR-S was designed as the ultimate embodiment of Jaguar’s grand sports coupe. It features the XKR’s remarkable 4.2-litre supercharged V8 engine, producing 420 hp and 560 Nm of torque, but it also benefited from specific tuning designed to fully exploit the characteristics of its lightweight aluminium structure. More than just a special edition, the XKR-S features a specifically developed chassis, with stiffer, lowered suspension, recalibrated steering and a CATS system adapted to its new performance levels. Its impressive braking system, featuring 400 mm discs at the front and six-piston calipers, is further evidence of the seriousness of Jaguar's approach to developing this version. Aerodynamics have also been optimised to ensure perfect stability at very high speeds. The XKR-S is therefore capable of reaching 280 km/h, compared to 250 km/h for the standard XKR. At the time of its launch, it became the fastest production XK ever built and ranks among the fastest road-going Jaguars in the brand’s history. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds, but to reduce the XKR-S to mere figures wouldn't do it justice. Its character lies above all in that very British blend of first-class performance and GT refinement. At low speed, it retains the comfort and elegance characteristic of a Jaguar; but when the supercharger kicks in, the V8 reveals a completely different character, complemented by the highly distinctive sound of its active exhaust system. Aesthetically, the XKR-S stands out with sophistication. Its specific aerodynamic features, 20-inch Vortex wheels, lowered ride height and model-specific details further enhance its presence without ever compromising the purity of the design created under the direction of Ian Callum. The interior continues this philosophy, blending leather, Piano Black finishes and XKR-S-specific elements to create an atmosphere that is both sporty and luxurious. This particular XKR-S was delivered new in Belgium on the 6th August 2008 by the Jaguar dealership in Beveren (Antwerp). The first service was carried out at 4,890 km by the same dealership. In 2011, it was acquired by a major collector from Namur, a large part of whose superb collection was auctioned by Artcurial Motorcars in 2023. In 2017 (when the mileage was at only 14,678 km), he transferred its registration to Luxembourg, similar to most of his other cars. The Car-Pass clearly indicates the steady increase in mileage. In 2023, the current owner (an Artcurial employee and Jaguar enthusiast) acquired the car when its mileage stood at just 35,000 km. Since then and thanks to the owner’s meticulous care, the XKR-S has regularly been serviced by the excellent specialist Jacky Jaguar in Courbevoie. Its servicing history is up to date and the car is in optimal working order. All invoices, as well as the original kit containing the service logbook and manuals, will be handed over to the future owner. Rare, carefully preserved and benefiting from a crystal-clear and well-documented history, this XKR-S offers everything a discerning collector could wish for. Its low mileage, regular servicing, superb condition and comprehensive service history are evidence of the great care it has received since its delivery in 2008. As the most exclusive and desirable version of the XK X150 generation, with only 200 examples produced, it now represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most distinguished modern Jaguar cars of its era, ready to hit the road and join a first-class collection.
