Exceptional bottle of Meursault Rouge Coche-Dury from a rare vintage of 2011. Always stored in a professional cellar at 12°C. Careful and secure packaging. Meursault Rouge Coche-Dury is a red wine made from Pinot Noir grown in Meursault, in the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy. It is produced in extremely limited quantities from two small plots and stands out for an elegant, complex profile, a delicate texture, and good depth. The winemaking follows a traditional style, with a fermentation of about 12 days and aging in new and second-passage barrels, providing structure and aromatic precision. Where it comes from This wine comes from Meursault, a commune in the Côte de Beaune in the southern part of the Côte d’Or, in Burgundy. The grapes come from two small plots, with vines planted in the 1980s, in a context of strong land fragmentation that allows for very limited production. The terroir is characterized by soils rich in clay and limestone, a combination that supports structure and allows a precise expression of Pinot Noir. How it is made Production follows traditional methods, aimed at preserving the integrity of the grapes and highlighting varietal characteristics. After harvest, fermentation lasts about 12 days, managed to achieve extraction and balance. Aging in barrel uses both new wood and second-pass wood, a choice that adds subtle nuances and a more elegant texture while respecting the fruit. Special care at each step aims to obtain a refined and complex result. Tasting notes Visually, it presents a deep, intense red. On the nose, complex aromas of ripe red fruits appear, followed by floral and spicy notes, with light toasted hints from the barrel aging. With time, earthy and mineral nuances reveal themselves. On the palate, silky tannins are perfectly integrated, a vibrant freshness supporting the tasting, and a long finish with a coherent and precise end. Food pairing Naturally pairs with characterful dishes, particularly game birds. The combination of silky tannins and freshness accompanies savory and structured recipes, keeping the tasting clean and supporting the course through to the finale. When to serve It is recommended for those seeking an elegant yet assertive red wine capable of accompanying a full meal without weighing it down. The aroma nuances evolve over time, indicating good aging potential in the bottle, with an ideal consumption window in the medium term. It can be chosen when fruit dominates, or when more earthy and mineral notes emerge, bringing even more complexity.
