Wine/vineyard history: Philippe Pacalet, nephew of Marcel Lapierre and former collaborator of Henri Jayer, is renowned for his fermentations with indigenous yeasts and whole-harvest vinifications, with no additives; the two cuvées come from two distinct 1er Cru climates of Gevrey-Chambertin — Lavaux Saint-Jacques (often considered close to a Grand Cru in quality) and Bel-Air. Label condition: Excellent label — clean, crisp, well centered, without stains or tears, typography perfectly legible on both bottles. Capsule condition: Excellent — burgundy/garnet capsules intact, undamaged, with no splits or protruding cork visible.
