Lot details Appellation: IGP Pays d'Hérault Vintage: 2015 Producer: Mas de Daumas Gassac Cuvee: Émile Peynaud Grape variety: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon Packaging: 1 bottle of 75 cl Condition: See photos of the lot Storage: Cellar About the wine The Émile Peynaud Cuvée is produced only in the domaine's best vintages from the first Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in 1972. Production remains extremely confidential, with about 1,800 bottles according to the estate. The 2015 vintage stems from a dry winter and spring followed by an especially warm summer, allowing optimal ripening of the grapes. The wine benefits from a classic Médoc-style vinification with long maceration and 24 months maturation in oak barrels. The tasting typically reveals a deep, structured wine, offering notes of ripe black fruits, cedar, fine spices, and remarkable freshness. Its concentration, balance and length on the palate give it exceptional aging potential.
