Predominantly sourced from Pinot Noir, this red wine embodies the elegance and complexity characteristic of the Côte de Nuits. The 2017 vintage offers a fine balance thanks to favorable weather, allowing the grapes to ripen perfectly. The calcareous soils of this unique terroir confer the wine with a lovely minerality, while traditional winemaking methods preserve the authenticity of the taste. The Burgundy region, known for its varied climates, greatly influences the delicacy and depth of the wines produced. To accompany this Vougeot Premier Cru, opt for dishes that enhance its subtle aromas and refined structure. A beef fillet with porcini mushrooms, a duck breast sprinkled with mild spices, or a wild mushroom pie would pair beautifully with this wine. For a regional pairing, coq au vin bourguignon will reveal the wine's red fruit and spice nuances while exemplifying the richness of local cuisine. During tasting, serve this wine at an ideal temperature of 16 to 18 °C. A 30 to 45-minute decanting will help to open its complex aromas. Begin by admiring its deep ruby color, then inhale its elegant notes of black cherry, undergrowth, and licorice. Finally, on the palate, enjoy its silky texture, its fine acidity and well-integrated tannins that linger long, delivering an unforgettable experience. Cellaring in Aging Cellar 12/14 °C
