2017 Giacomo Borgogno & Figli Fossati - Barolo DOCG - 1...

This bottle is Very rare and unobtainable in this format ! Excellent investiment! Exclusive wine! Tasting notes: Clear ruby red color. Hints of red fruits, light spiciness and minerality. Structure on the palate, but at the same time freshness and sapidity, crunchiness and fragrance. Perfect pairing: Barolo goes well with important dishes, such as traditional Piedmontese meat main courses. Ranging from world traditions, there is gulasch in Eastern Europe. Going to Japan instead gyoza (fried dumplings stuffed with spring onion, marinated pork and spices). Moving to The United States of America, beef (angus, wagyu, bue nostral, longhorn) in the brisket cut. But if you have the pleasure, even a simple "special" toast is perfect! *96/100 James Suckling: Good intensity of ripe black berries and minerals here. Full-bodied with deep-set, tight tannins that will take time, first to emerge fully and then to meld back into the wine. This is a youthful Barolo that you should cellar long-term. Enjoy.
