2018 & 2021 Gran Selezione 1000 Miglia - Villa Trasqua - Chianti Classico

Majestic single vineyard vinified from 100% Sangiovese grapes, coming from the estate's oldest vines, a plot whose productive quality has been known since the mid-19th century. Complex, majestic and exuberant, it embodies the terroir secret of Villa Trasqua, of which it represents the estate's iconic wine, the summation of the Sangiovese produced in Castellina in Chianti. Vinification In 5,000-liter wooden tronconical vats at controlled temperature (26/28 °C) with maceration on the skins for at least 22/25 days. Aging 30 months of aging in 500-liter French oak tonneaux and at least 12 months of bottle aging.
