As Bravas 2018 El Cepillo — Adrianna Catena & Alejandro Vigil A single-vineyard Malbec from the high-altitude Cordón El Cepillo terroir in the southern Uco Valley (1,300m), crafted by Adrianna Catena and Alejandro Vigil. Produced from a tiny 1.7-hectare parcel of ungrafted vines planted on marine limestone and colluvial soils, this wine features 95% Malbec co-planted with 5% Sémillon. It represents one of Argentina’s most precise, aromatic, and iconic expressions of Malbec. Scores & Ratings (Vintage 2018): Robert Parker (The Wine Advocate): 100/100 James Suckling: 98/100 Antonio Galloni (Vinous): 96/100 Tim Atkin: 96/100 (Wine of the Year) Tasting Profile: Complex and evolving aromas of blackberry, fresh violet, graphite, licorice, charcoal, and subtle dried herbs. Endlessly layered on the palate, combining dense texture with weightless balance, vibrant acidity, ultra-refined chalky tannins, and a persistent mineral finish. Matured for fully 64 months in 100-year-old Italian oak foudres to preserve purity and raw terroir expression. Aging Potential: A timeless wine built for extended cellaring — 15–25+ years.
