2020 Clos Canereccia "Sophie" - Corsica - 2 Bottles (0.75L)

An exceptional Corsican white wine, signed Clos Canereccia The Sophie Blanc 2020 Cuvée embodies the excellence of the Clos Canereccia estate, located in Aléria on the eastern coast of Corsica. This rare and refined white wine comes from a rigorous parcel selection of three indigenous grape varieties: Vermentinu (majority), Biancu Gentile and Genovese. Grown on soils of rolled pebbles, alluvium and deep clays, these varieties enjoy a Mediterranean climate marked by the influence of the sea and the maquis, giving the wine a saline freshness and a beautiful mineral tension. Careful élevage for remarkable aromatic complexity Produced with precise vinification (cold chamber aging, direct pressing, controlled fermentation) and a prolonged élevage of more than two years in wooden foudres, the Sophie 2020 Cuvée develops a pale, bright color, an intense nose of citrus, white flowers and honey, as well as a powerful, round and persistent palate, subtly oaked. This dry white wine offers a fine structure, balanced acidity and a gourmand, mouth-watering finish, typical of great Corsican white wines suitable for long keeping. Food pairings & aging potential This gastronomic white wine pairs wonderfully with seafood, grilled fish, white meats, aged Corsican cheeses or simply as an exceptional aperitif. Thanks to its long élevage and its generous body, the Sophie Blanc 2020 has a aging potential of 5 to 10 years, improving with time to reveal even more complexity and finesse.
