2021 Pian delle Vigne - Brunello di Montalcino - 3 Bottles (0.75L)

The 2021 vintage in Montalcino is being celebrated as an exceptional year, characterized by a perfect growing season that resulted in wines with intense aromatics and superb structural balance. This 100% Sangiovese (locally called Brunello) is aged briefly in large oak vats to preserve the primary fruit while adding a touch of spice and complexity. It is an elegant, medium-bodied red with notes of Marasca cherry, wild berries, and hints of Mediterranean scrub and vanilla. Robert Parker (Wine Advocate) 91/100 "A bright and savory expression... excellent fruit purity and zip." James Suckling 92/100 "Very pretty cherry and floral character. Medium body, fine tannins." Antonio Galloni (Vinous) 90/100 "A lovely, understated Rosso... floral and spice notes lead into a clean finish." Wine Spectator 91/100 "Shows great harmony and a persistent, berry-filled finish.
