2022 Fattoria Mantellassi “Le Sentinelle” Riserva...

Lot of 9 bottles of Fattoria Mantellassi “Le Sentinelle” Morellino di Scansano DOCG Riserva 2022. One of the most prestigious expressions of Morellino di Scansano produced by Fattoria Mantellassi in the heart of Tuscany. “Le Sentinelle” comes from a historic 2.5-hectare hillside vineyard in Magliano in Toscana, planted on tuffaceous and limestone-rich soils. This exceptional vineyard is closely linked to the history and development of Morellino di Scansano. Produced from 85% Sangiovese (Morellino) and 15% Alicante, the wine undergoes traditional red vinification with extended skin maceration, followed by 20 months of ageing in French oak barriques and further refinement in the bottle. An intense, structured and elegant Tuscan red wine, showing excellent complexity and balance. Rich and powerful on the palate, with well-integrated tannins, freshness and a long, persistent finish. An excellent accompaniment to red meats, braised dishes, game and the traditional Florentine steak.
