20th Century Chinese Peacock Blue Porcelain Mountain-Form Brush Rest Description: A finely crafted Chinese porcelain mountain-form brush rest dating from the 20th century. Finished in a rich peacock blue glaze with soft pale white highlights, the piece is modeled in the form of a stylized mountain with a beautifully sculpted relief surface, creating an elegant three-dimensional appearance. Traditionally, this type of object was used as a brush rest on a scholar's desk, providing a place to support calligraphy or painting brushes while working. The underside bears an impressed seal mark. The piece is in excellent overall condition.
