28.9 cts - Natural Honduras Black Opal - Rough- 5.78 g

Due to Covid, many excavations in Honduras were halted and never reopened. This type of black opal is becoming increasingly difficult to find, now considered rare. Black opal is the most expensive opal in the world. This piece comes from a large reserve I purchased in 2017; all natural, untreated pieces. This piece features every color of the rainbow, from blue to purple to green, red to yellow to orange. A beautiful collector's item or a cut piece.
