This folk art pairing features two detailed shorebird sculptures handcrafted by noted carver Alfred B. Gardner of Accord, Massachusetts. Comprising a graduated set of one larger and one smaller specimen, each wildfowl figure is carved from wood in a stationary, downward-leaning feeding posture, highlighted by meticulously hand-painted plumage details and supported by thin metal rod legs. The birds are mounted atop organically carved wooden bases finished with textured earth-toned pigments to simulate natural ground or stone. The authenticity of the set is verified by a printed black ink manufacturer stamp within an oval border on the underside of each base reading "ALFRED B. GARDNER ACCORD, MASS." Dimensions: 12.5"W x 7.5"H Weight: 12. oz Condition Request Condition Report Good.
