2pc Compagnie Generale Transatlantique French Line Passenger Lists

A pair of vintage ocean liner passenger list booklets for the S.S. De Grasse, operated by the Compagnie Generale Transatlantique, also known as the French Line. Both booklets feature a stylized cover illustration of colorful maritime signal flags against a blue sea-and-sky background. The first booklet is dated July 12, 1947, for a westbound voyage from Le Havre to New York via Southampton. The second booklet is dated September 23, 1947, for an eastbound voyage from New York to Le Havre via Southampton. The interior pages are printed with red and blue decorative borders and include lists of senior officers, or the Etat-Major, including Commandant Jean Le Manchec. The booklets also contain proposed sailing schedules for the 1947 season for several vessels including the De Grasse, Wisconsin, Oregon, and Colombie.
