2pc Dixie Turned Wood Lidded Vessels

Two contemporary turned wood lidded vessels featuring organic forms and varied surface treatments. The larger vessel, dated 2000, is turned from a dark wood with a pronounced grain, featuring wide bands of dark pyrography and stippled, textured detailing along the upper shoulders. It is fitted with a dark, finial-style lid. The smaller vessel, dated 2001, is crafted from a light-colored burl wood with a smooth, polished finish, topped with a tiered dark wood lid and a small textured finial. The underside of the darker vessel features incised marks within three concentric circles reading DIXIE 2000.
