2pc Vintage Shields Fifth Avenue and Gruen Timepieces

Lot comprising two vintage mechanical timepieces. The first is a Swiss pocket watch featuring a silver-tone and cream dial with gold-tone dauphine hands, applied baton hour markers, and Arabic numerals at the quarters. The dial is marked Shields Fifth Avenue and Swiss Made. The interior of the case back is stamped Sovereign Watch Co. Inc., Swiss, and Aluminium in a rectangular border. The manual wind movement is inscribed Sovereign Watch Co. Inc., Swiss Made, Unadjusted, and One 1 Jewel. The watch includes a silver-tone curb link chain with a swivel clasp and a square T-bar. The second item is an Art Deco style rectangular wristwatch by Gruen. The dial features Arabic numerals and is marked Gruen. The case is constructed from a rose gold-tone base metal with a stainless steel back stamped Base Metal.
