Jurassic Jewelry — A fossil of an orthoceras set in sterling silver with an elegant design, a unique design of its kind since each fossil carries its own unique characteristics. Orthoceras fossils are "straight" cephalopods extinct that lived during the Late Devonian period about 370 million years ago. Like other cephalopods, they lived inside their shells, had tentacles they could use to grab food, and used jet propulsion, squirting water to move. The rock that contains them is mined from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.
