3pc Huichol Mexican Yarn Ojos de Dios

Huichol (Wixarika) folk art trio of Ojos de Dios, or Gods Eyes, featuring multicolored yarn hand-wrapped over wooden stick armatures in geometric patterns. The group consists of one hexagonal form with concentric bands of purple, green, orange, and red, finished with secondary diamond eyes and orange tassels at each of the six points. The two additional pieces are four-pointed diamond crosses; one features a blue-purple center with magenta tassels and a black yarn hanging loop, while the second displays a bright blue center with orange tassels. These items represent traditional spiritual iconography of the Wixarika people of Mexico, symbolizing protection and the power to see the unknown.
