(4) Space Shuttle Challenger Signed Photos

Group of four signed astronaut photographs featuring members of the Space Shuttle Challenger STS-51-L crew: mission commander Francis "Dick" Scobee, signed and inscribed; pilot Michael J. Smith, signed and personalized; mission specialist Ellison S. Onizuka, signed and inscribed; and mission specialist Judith A. Resnik, signed without personalization. All four astronauts were lost aboard Challenger on January 28, 1986, when the shuttle broke apart 73 seconds after liftoff. The disaster claimed all seven crew members and became one of the defining events in the history of the U.S. space program. A significant grouping representing four of the seven members of Challenger's final crew, with the unpersonalized Resnik photograph particularly appealing. Estimate $400 - $800

Estimate:£298.43
