#76 - Where Figures Emerge - Pinar Akbaba

#76 - Where Figures Emerge by Pinar Akbaba Painting 28.0 x 37.0 :: Where Figures Emerge explores the moment when abstract forms begin to suggest figures gestures and unexpected encounters. Vivid layers of orange yellow green and violet unfold across the canvas creating a dynamic interplay of color movement and line. Dark expressive contours weave through the composition connecting shapes that seem to emerge interact and dissolve. Some forms evoke human figures in motion while others remain open to interpretation allowing the viewer's imagination to move freely between the familiar and the abstract. My painting process is intuitive guided by the evolving relationship between color gesture and form. Rather than beginning with a fixed image I allow the composition to develop through layers and spontaneous marks. Unexpected shapes gradually appear creating a visual world that is discovered as much as it is created. The painting invites viewers to find their own connections within its shifting forms and vivid contrasts. Each encounter may reveal a different image gesture or relationship making the experience of looking an active and personal one.
