7pc 1950s Mappin & Webb Birmingham Silver Plate Ltd Shaw Savill Line Flatware

Mappin & Webb and Birmingham Silver Plate Ltd Art Deco silver-plated and stainless steel flatware group produced for the Shaw Savill Line. The pieces feature tiered, stepped handle terminals with the maritime company logo. Knife blades are impressed with TRUSTWORTHY in a scroll banner above MAPPIN & WEBB SHEFFIELD and a shield mark containing the letters M and W, with STAINLESS stamped vertically. The reverse of the handles is stamped BSL Plate ENGLAND. Each handle terminal obverse is decorated with a stylized logo reading SHAW SAVILL LINE featuring elongated S characters. The group includes two knives, two forks, two soup spoons, and a butter knife.
