Maritime ephemera collection from the early 20th century. The grouping includes a tri-fold promotional brochure for the United States Lines titled GOING ABROAD THE AMERICAN WAY. An official printed Abstract of Log for the S.S. Leviathan, Voyage No. 1 East, documents the crossing from New York to Southampton from July 4 to July 10, 1923, under Captain Herbert Hartley. A ship's breakfast menu for the U.S.M.S. ST. PAUL is dated June 29, 1910, and features a printed wine list on the reverse. The collection is completed by four postcards: a color lithograph of the S.S. Republic; an illustrated patriotic card titled SAMMY featuring Uncle Sam and a female figure labeled Canada; and two interior views of the D. and C. Steamer City of Cleveland.
