A fragment from the inner curtain (Kiswa) adorning the sacred interior walls of the Holy Kaaba, woven in luminous silver-toned silk against a deep black ground. The textile is richly embellished with elegant undulating bands that extend across its full length, framing a series of devotional inscriptions rendered in intricate woven script. The inscriptions include the Kalimat al-Tawhid: “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.” It also bears the phrases: “Glory is to Allah and praise is to Him; Glory is to Allah, the Most Great.” The textile further bears the supplication: “Ya Hannan, Ya Mannan” (“O Most Compassionate, O Most Generous Bestower”). 148 by 170 cm.
