A BYZANTINE SILVER BUCKLE, 6TH CENTURY AD
A Byzantine silver buckle with an elegant back plate engraved with a cross. Three rivets attached the back plate to the belt. The tongue of the buckle has an animal motif at its finial. Silver Byzantine. 5/6th.c.AD. 11.5 by 4.2 cm.
