Copier • Glasfabriek Leerdam • Large deep bowl from the pressed glass dinner service Grijsviolet with geometric rib decoration. This large deep bowl from the iconic pressed glass dinner service Grijsviolet, designed in the 1930s by A.D. Copier for Glasfabriek Leerdam, is an intriguing object. The characteristic geometric decoration runs in broad relief lines along the walls and, through the mold technique, creates a fascinating play of light and depth. Interior styling and presence This bowl looks stunning on a laid table in a mid-century modern, Art Deco, or Scandinavian interior. In subdued light, the gray-violet glass maintains a restrained and elegant tone, while the geometric ribs light up under a focused spotlight as bright bands that fully accentuate the relief.
