Artistic Tapestry “La Guida” – Printing on Regenerated Leather Decorative tapestry made on fabric canvas, with high-definition artistic printing, inspired by the meeting of Christian iconography, symbolic geometry, and initiatory language. The composition, solemn and strongly evocative, develops the theme of the Guide as a presence capable of indicating a direction, illuminating the path, and guiding man back to a principle of order, balance, and awareness. At the center of the work is depicted Christ, shown frontally and surrounded by a dense luminous halo. With one hand he performs the traditional blessing gesture, while with the other he holds a large compass, a central element in the symbolic reading of the image. Behind him, monumental columns, lit candles, and architectures immersed in semi-darkness delineate a sacred space, ideally akin to a Temple. The title “La Guida” finds expression precisely in the relationship between these elements. The central figure appears not only as a spiritual presence but as a symbol of a principle capable of guiding through Light and through measure. The blessing gesture suggests protection and spiritual transmission; the compass, on the other hand, recalls discipline, proportion, discernment, and the ability to trace a direction. The presence of the compass thus introduces a suggestive interpretation of Christ as a guide toward harmony and order. A tool tied to geometry and the definition of proportions, it symbolically evokes a universe not entrusted to chaos, but founded on relationships, limits, and equilibria. To guide, in this perspective, means not only to indicate a goal but to offer a measure through which to orient oneself. The work reinterprets the ancient theme of Christ as the principle of universal order, juxtaposing it with a visual language close to sacred geometry and initiatory tradition. In the same figure live together two complementary gestures: that of blessing, directed at the inner dimension, and that of measurement, linked to construction, knowledge, and the search for order. Particularly important is the beam of light radiating from the central figure. Christ emerges from darkness as a luminous presence, while the surrounding space remains deliberately immersed in shadow. The contrast can be read as a metaphor of a path: from uncertainty to understanding, from shadow to Light, from dispersion to the search for direction. From this perspective, Light does not serve only an aesthetic function, but becomes the main narrative element of the work. The Guide is the one who makes the path visible, transforming darkness from a limit into a space through which to proceed toward greater awareness. To the sides of the figure appear candles and symbols of a Christological nature, set within an austere architectural setting. Their presence strengthens the ritual and contemplative dimension of the composition, creating a constant dialogue between spirituality, knowledge, and geometry. Particularly meaningful is the position of the compass, represented open and facing downward. In symbolic language it recalls measurement, discipline, balance, and the ability to correctly define one’s own limits. In the hands of the central figure, the instrument can thus be interpreted also as a metaphor of a teaching: the true guide does not merely impose a direction, but offers the necessary tools to consciously trace one’s own path. The composition thus assumes a dual dimension. On the one hand, the external Guide, represented by the luminous figure that points to an order and a direction; on the other, the possible quest for an inner guide, based on the ability to recognize measure, balance, and discernment. Aesthetically, the work is distinguished by the refined contrast between a deep black background and golden tones, giving the impression of a precious ancient engraving. The intense chiaroscuro, the meticulous hatching of the garments, and the radiant expansion of the halo confer upon the central figure a monumental and highly scenographic presence. The high-definition artistic print enhances every element of the composition: features of the face, folds of the garments, the compass, architectures, candles, and rays of light come out sharp and carefully defined, contributing to a rich and evocative visual presentation. The fabric canvas gives the tapestry a tactile, solid, and refined presence. The visible texture of the surface harmonizes with the mark of the engraving, accentuating its antique aspect and lending the composition an authentic and sought-after quality. At the bottom right there is a red wax seal with a symbol of belonging, a distinctive element that evokes the concepts of authenticity, guardianship, continuity, and transmission of the Tradition. Thought for studies, libraries, reception environments, private spaces or collections dedicated to religious, Masonic, and esoteric symbolism, “La Guida” offers a visual synthesis between Faith, Light, Geometry, and inner search. More than offering an answer, the image suggests a direction: the Light shows the path, measure defines its order, and awareness allows one to walk it.
