A.D.P. Agencia Difusion Presse

Press photograph from the period showing Ernesto “Che” Guevara surrounded by a group of people during a public act or meeting in Cuba, in a scene of spontaneous and documentary nature. The image is interesting because it shows the Che in a close and cheerful context, accompanied by civilians and attendees, far from the more well-known official portraits. The reverse bears the stamp of A.D.P. – Agence Diffusion Presse, Paris, which certifies its provenance within the international press circuit and its editorial use. An attractive piece for collectors of photojournalism, the Cuban Revolution and Ernesto Guevara, especially for its nature as a collective scene and its being a vintage press copy. Character: Ernesto “Che” Guevara Context: public meeting / social event with attendees Date: 1960 Place: Cuba Provenance: A.D.P. – Agence Diffusion Presse, Paris Technique: silver gelatin Measurements: not indicated Era: vintage Condition: good overall condition, with signs of aging and editorial use; verso with patina and marks from the passage of time.
