A FINE 1803 PATTERN INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD WITH BLADE BY RUNKEL. With a broad 73.5 cm curved, pointed single edged blade with broad shallow fuller, decorated in gilt with a Royal coat of arms, GR cypher and other trophies, marked to the back Runkel Solingen. With a slotted hilt and slender guard with Royal cypher and crown, the shagreen grip bound in twisted wire, with a lion's heads pommel and attached ring. 88 cm overall.
