A fine early First Period Worcester blue and white sparrow-beak cream jug, circa 1756-58 of baluster form, painted in the 'Prunus Root' pattern, the interior with a prunus branch and a moth, workman's mark, 7cm. Provenance: The Gerald Newton Collection, sold at Phillips, London 13/12/00, lot 165. An English private collection, purchased from Steppes Hill Farm Antiques February 19th 2001.
