A FIRST WORLD WAR IMPERIAL GERMAN 1916 PATTERN HELMET WITH KRIEGSMARINE BADGE. An M1916 steel helmet with projecting lugs to either side, three liner rivets and two strap rivets. Painted in green with yellow Kriegsmarine badge to the left of crossed anchors beneath a crown. With leather band and three internal pads. Apparently unmarked. 17 cm high, 30 cm front to back, 23 cm wide.
