A French 18k yellow gold diamond and ruby band ring, subsequently rhodium plated. Domed ring band, fully set with 36 brilliant-cut diamonds (total approx. 1.44 ct, H/I, VVS/VS). Centred by an oval ruby (approx. 1.47 ct, approx. 6.48 × 5.76 × 4.54 mm), flanked on either side by two step-cut baguette diamonds (total approx. 0.26 ct, G/H, VVS/VS). Hallmarks: French gold hallmark “tête d’aigle”, fineness 750, “Cartier”, maker’s mark “PB” for Pierre Brun, numbered 642643. Wear to the rhodium plating. Ring size 51. Weight 8.95 g.
