A GEORGE III MAHOGANY TALLBOY, ATTRIBUTABLE TO GILLOW & CO. the dentil-moulded broken arch pediment above a 'Chippendale' blind fretwork frieze, three short and six long drawers bearing peacock and C-scroll swing handles and escutcheons, raised on ogee bracket feet, height 215cm, width 120cm, depth 62cm * The peacock handles are of a Gillows design, as per Gillows of Lancaster and London 1730-1840 by Susan E.Stuart, Vol.II, pg 332.
