A German chased 18k gold ring with an ancient Hellenistic Triobol
A German chased 18k gold ring with an ancient Hellenistic Triobol of Neapolis silver coin. Domed, repoussé bezel set with a rare triobol of Neapolis (obverse probably depicting the head of Artemis, reverse with a Gorgoneion, approx. 14.0 × 9.0 mm). Hallmarks: Fineness 750, maker’s mark “MR” (conjoined). Ring size 51/52. Weight 11.82 g. Lioba Munz, Fulda, the silver coin probably Macedonia 424 - 350 BC.
