Offered a beautiful and rare vintage push-along toy from the English brand A Green Monk, Made in England. This model with double tin drums is a true collector’s item from the 1960s and is highly regarded for its colorful litho print featuring a flying fairy and elf, flowers and stars. The toy consists of a sturdy wooden shaft in yellow with a red handle and red button, a metal bracket, and two contra-rotating litho metal drums. The drums are printed on the side with "A GREEN MONK product MADE IN ENGLAND Prov. Pat. 4747/65" and on the top with a floral garland of blue bells and yellow leaves. Operation: spins smoothly when pushed. Originally this was a sound toy with an internal bell; the bell is now silent or sometimes still softly audible. Today mainly very decorative as retro toy or nursery decor. Condition: good vintage condition for its age. Tin with light signs of use, small scratches and light rust spots on the edges as seen in the photos. Colors are still bright and vivid. Wooden shaft sturdy and original.
