A Longines 'Combined Operations Store Department' military issue wristwatch with white dial marked 'longines' with government arrow, with arabic numerals and red 24 hour numerals. The reverse marked with government arrow and 2189 C.O.S.D. 2340. COSD watches are amongst the scarcest late Second World War watches, a type supplied to special forces, paratroopers and amphibious/commando units.
